Information
ICMS Travel, as the official housing bureau for the Meeting, has been able to secure discounted accommodation rates at the Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Reservations need to be made before Friday, 13 May 2011. Discounts may not apply after this date. The room rates are per night and include breakfast. Accommodation will be allocated in order of receipt of bookings and payment.

Arrival Time
Please indicate on your registration form your estimated time of arrival to the hotel. Check-in time is usually from 14:00. Should you wish to guarantee your room is ready before the hotel check-in time, it is recommended that you book and pay for the room for the evening prior to your arrival. Failure to advise your arrival time may mean that your room will be released.

Deposit
To secure your reservation a deposit equivalent to one night’s room tariff is required. If paying by credit card, your details will be passed onto the hotel as a guarantee. The hotel may not initially deduct a deposit payment from your credit card but may charge your full payment at the time of checkout. Bookings cannot be made until ICMS Travel receives your credit card details. Room rates are in Malaysian Ringgits (RM) and are subject to ten percent (10%) service charge and six percent (6%) prevailing government tax.

Cancellations & Refunds
The accommodation deposit (equivalent to one night's accommodation at the meeting rate) will be forfeited for all cancellations received after Friday, 13 May 2011 or if the room is not occupied on the advised date of arrival. The relevant hotel cancellation policy terms and conditions will apply and the cost will be borne by the delegate. The Meeting Office cannot accept new bookings or amendments to existing bookings after Friday, 13 May 2011.

Airport transfers to Kuala Lumpur

There is a fast train to central Kuala Lumpur and if you are staying at Traders Hotel or other hotels nearby it is an approximate further 20 minute taxi ride to the KLCC area.

3 Days Sandakan Orang Utan

Day 1 ARRIVAL - SANDAKAN

Meet upon arrival in Sandakan and transfer to your hotel of stay.
(There are direct flight from Kuala Lumpur - Sandakan vv on Malaysian Airlines and Air Asia).
Overnight in Hotel Sandakan (3 star) or Sabah Hotel (4 star).

Day 2 SEPILOK - CITY TOUR

After breakfast, depart for the Sepilok Orangutan Center. Experience a close encounter with the "Man of the Forest", who are undergoing a rehabilitation program to return to the wild. Local lunch before proceeding for city tour, which includes the water village, Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist temple for a panoramic view of the city and the Australian War Memorial.
After tour, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 3 DEPARTURE
After lunch, transfer to your hotel or to the airport for your onward journey.

4 Days Sandakan Wildlife Watching

Day 1 ARRIVAL - SANDAKAN

Meet upon arrival in Sandakan and transfer to your hotel of stay.

Overnight in Hotel Sandakan (3 star) or Sabah Hotel (4 star).

Day 2 GOMANTONG - BILIT / SUKAU

Pick-up at airport or hotel and proceed to the Gomantong Caves, a two-hour drive that passes oil palm plantations and villages. Explore this fascinating cave, which is home to millions of swiftlets and bats. The swiftlet's nests are collected for the famous Chinese Bird's nest soup.
Continue on to the Sukau/Bilit and check-into your lodge for lunch. Take an afternoon boat cruise along the Kinabatangan River in search of Proboscis monkeys and other forms of Wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight in twin bed rooms with attached hot water showers.

Day 3 OX-BOW - BILIT / SUKAU

Early morning, proceed to the Ox-Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. And also a short jungle trek along the lake while searching for more wildlife. Then, return to the lodge. Late afternoon, proceed on another river cruise to search for wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner. Overnight in twin bed rooms with attached hot water showers.

Day 4 SEPILOK - AIRPORT

4 Days Sabah Nature & Culture

Day 1 ARRIVAL IN KOTA KINABALU

Arrival at Kota Kinabalu's International Airport and transfer to your Hotel of choice (Grand Borneo Hotel/ Beverly Hotel). Upon arrival, -check in and free at leisure. Overnight in 01 TWN / Double Bedded Superior Room with attached bathroom.

Day 2 ZOOLOGICAL PARK & MANGROVE FOREST Safari

Depart after breakfast for a drive South. Visit the Lok Kawi zoological park and spend the morning exploring the various animals and birds found in the park such as Orang Utans, Bears, Borneo pigmy Elephants, Tigers, Sumatran Rhinoceros, Horn bills and many more. Enjoy a local lunch before proceeding to the Klias wetlands. Light refreshments before proceeding on a boat cruise through the Mangrove forest to see Proboscis Monkeys, long & short tail macaque monkeys and other forms of Wildlife & birds. Commonly seen here are monitor lizards and the occasional crocodile. Return to the lodge for a local dinner. On the way back to the jetty a short tour to see the fireflies will be conducted. It is amazing to see hundreds
of fireflies twinkling in the mangrove trees making them look like Christmas trees. Return to the city.

Day 3 SABAH NATIVE AND CULTURAL TOUR

08:00 hrs Depart your Hotel for a 30 minutes drive to the Mari Mari Cultural Village. Upon arrival follow your local tour guide through the village. Experience the ancient lifestyle of Sabah's Indigenous Tribes, -namely the Kadazan-Dusun, Muruts and Bajaus, while your guide introduces you each tribe's unique architecture and custom, -simulated by descendents of these tribes. Take the chance to sample local cuisine and even participate in ancient every day's routine such as fire starting and blowpipe making. Lunch is included. Return to your Hotel in the afternoon. Spend the rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight in 01 TWN / Double Bedded Superior Room with attached bathroom.

Day 4 DEPARTURE
Free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
