Professor Möller completed a postdoctoral thesis (habilitation) in psychiatry in 1979. From 1980 to 1988 he was professor of psychiatry at Munich Technical University, and from 1988 to 1994 full professor of psychiatry and chairman of the Psychiatric Department at the University Bonn, Bonn, Germany. He is currently full professor of psychiatry and chairman of the Psychiatric
Department at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich.
Professor Möller’s main scientific contributions include clinical and neurobiological research into psychiatry, schizophrenia and depression and clinical psychopharmacology. He has been a member of the executive committees of several national and international psychiatric societies. Currently, he is president of the European Psychiatric Association (EPA). He serves as chairman of the Section on Pharmacopsychiatry of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA). For two years he has been a member of the executive committee of the Collegium Internationale Neuro-Psychopharmacologicum (CINP), where he is now president-elect. From 1997 to 2001 he was president of the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP), where he is now honorary president.
In addition to authoring and co-authoring over 1100 publications such as original articles, international papers and several books (Hirsch-Factor 56), he has acted as chief editor of The World Journal of Biological Psychiatry from 2000 to 2009. He is main editor of European Archives of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience, and editor of two major German psychiatric journals, Nervenarzt and Psychopharmakotherapie. He holds positions on the editorial boards of numerous national and international psychiatric journals.
In 2008, Professor Müller was awarded the prestigious Jean Delay Prize from the World Psychiatric Association. In 2009, he was awarded the honorary doctorate by the University Victor Babes of Timisoara/Hungary, the WFSBP Lifetime Achievement Award and the Aristotle Medal by the University of Thessaloniki.
Professor Robert Belmaker
Dr. Belmaker received his BA from Harvard College in 1967 and his MD from Duke Medical School in 1971. From 1972-74 he was a Clinical Associate at the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, MD. Since 1974 he has held positions in academic psychiatry in Israel, first at the Jerusalem Mental Health Center 1974-1984 and then at Ben Gurion University of the Negev 1985 to the present. Dr. Belmaker was a pioneer in biological psychiatry in Israel, and chaired the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP) meeting in Jerusalem in 1982. His research interests include affective disorders, especially mania, ECT, and second messenger mechanisms. In 1993 he submitted a grant request to National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression proposing that TMS could be therapeutically useful in psychiatry, and was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Investigator Award to pursue this hypothesis. He has received the Anna Monika Prize for Research in Depression (1983), the Ziskind-Somerfeld Prize for Senior Research in Psychiatry (1993) and the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Lilly Research Award (1996), and the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression Lifetime Achievement Falcone Award for research in affective disorder (2000) and the Research Prize of the World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry (2004). He was President of the CINP 2008-2010 (International College of Neuropsychopharmacology). Husband of over 40 years, father of six children and grandfather of five, Dr. Belmaker is an avid amateur archaeologist in Israel and scuba diver.
Professor Brian Dean
Brian Dean began his undergraduate training at the University of Sunderland where he was awarded a Higher National Diploma in Applied Biology specialising in Pharmacology and Parasitology. Further study at London South Bank University lead to admission to the Institute of Biology as a Licentiate (by examination) specialising in biochemistry. Subsequently, he completed his Masters of Science and Doctoral Degree at the University of Melbourne in Australia. Brian Dean is a Fellow of the CINP and the Society of Biology (UK). He is the recipient of the Australian Society for Psychiatric Research Lilly Oration Award.
Brian Dean is currently and NHMRC Senior Research Fellow (Level B) and Head of the Rebecca L. Cooper Research Laboratories at the Mental Health Research Institute, Melbourne, Australia and holds an honorary position as Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne. He has published more than over 170 papers on the neuropsychopharmacology of psychotropic drugs and the pathophysiology of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depressive disorders. This research strategy is based on the posits that improved treatments for psychiatric disorders requires a better understanding of the mechanisms of action of existing drugs and a much improved understanding of the causes of psychiatric disorders.
Brian Dean is currently Treasurer the Collegium Internationale Neuro-Psychopharmacologium (CINP), is a member of the Pacific - Asia Regional Committee, President of Biological Psychiatry Australia and the Melbourne Chapter of the Society of Neuroscience and is a member of the Finance Committee of the Schizophrenia International Research Society since 2002.
Dr Ian Everall
Dr Everall obtained his MBChB at Leicester University School of Medicine. He trained in psychiatry at the Bethlem Royal and Maudsley Hospitals, London. In 1989 he obtained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship, followed in 1992 by an advanced MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship at the Department of Neuropathology, Institute of Psychiatry. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1992. In 1993 he was appointed Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry and Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at The Maudsley Hospital. In 1999 he was appointed Professor of Experimental Neuropathology and Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. In 2003 he was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. In 2004 he was appointed Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego and at the end of 2009 Professor Everall took up the role of Cato Chair and Head of Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne.

Professor Jun Soo Kwon
Jun Soo Kwon M.D., Ph.D. is a psychiatrist and scientist who has spent over 25 years caring for people with mental illness. His research focuses on pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, prodromal stage of psychosis and obsessive-compulsive disorder. He has strong interests in neuroscience, with specific emphasis on the integrative approaches (combining genetic, neuropsychological and neuroimaging methods including MRI, fMRI, DTI, PET, EEG and MEG) on neuropsychiatric disorders to find out core biological makers for the disorders. He has published extensively in high-ranked journals such as Archives of General Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychiatry, Brain as well as INJP. Dr. Kwon received his medical degree from Seoul National University and got training in psychiatry at Seoul National University Hospital. Dr. Kwon is currently a professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Brain and Cognitive Sciences (WCU) at Seoul National University. Dr. Kwon is the now a councilor of CINP. Professor Anthony Phillips
Dr. Anthony G. Phillips is a world-renowned expert in brain function and behaviour. He is the Scientific Director of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research - Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (CIHR-INMHA), the Founding Director of the UBC Institute of Mental Health, Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Senior Investigator with the University of British Columbia/Vancouver Coastal Health Brain Research Centre.
